Quality Assurance of Trisakti School of Management

Quality Assurance System of Trisakti School of Management (STIE) is a systemic activity conducted to increase the quality of higher education in a planned and sustainable manner. Quality Assurance System of Trisakti School of Management (STIE) aims to ensure the fulfillment of standards of higher education in a systemic and sustainable manner thus growing and developing a quality culture. This functions to control organization of higher education in Trisakti School of Management (STIE) in the bid to materialize a quality higher education.

Quality Assurance System of the Trisakti School of Management (STIE) has been conducted by prodi (diploma program) of STIE as from the time it had obtained preliminary accreditation and re-accreditation of the National Accreditation Body (BAN), whereas the Internal Quality Assurance System in Study program follows the mechanism Quality Assurance System adopted by the Trisakti School of Management (STIE), namely to plan, implement, control and develop the quality assurance of higher education in a planned and sustainable manner.

In 2008, the Trisakti School of Management (STIE) formed an Internal Quality Assurance Institution called Quality Assurance Unit or abbreviated UPM by virtue of the Decree of Chairman No. 055A/KPTS /STIE/IX/2008. This UPM of the Trisakti School of Management (STIE) is led by a Chief who reports to the Chairman of STIE with the assistance of a Secretary and three coordinators, namely Quality Planning Coordinator who is in charge of quality planning process at institution/prodi/working unit level, Internal Assessment Coordinator who is in charge of smooth implementation of monitoring and evaluation and Quality Information Coordinator who is in charge of documentation of the entire process and procedures as well as information of quality assurance.

Efforts to improve the quality of education administration have been taken in a continuous manner thus developing the quality culture from the determination of standards, implementation of standards, evaluation of implementation of standards and to conduct and maintain Continuous Quality Improvement. The basic model of quality assurance system the Trisakti School of Management (STIE) can be formulated based on the cycles and components of continuous activities of Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA).

The planning, implementation, control and developmnt of SPMI and SPME of the Trisakti School of Management (STIE) refer to the National Standards of Higher Education, namely by implementing eight minimum standards pursuant to the Government Regulation Number 19/2005 which in further process was conformed to the Regulation of Minister of Education No. 49/2014 to become eight standards of national education, eight standards of national research and eight standards of community service.

Up to 2015, the Internal Quality Assurance Institution of the Trisakti School of Management (STIE) still refers to the eight standards of national education (Government Regulation Number 19/2005 and Government Regulation Number 32/2013), either in respect of implementation or monitoring process or internal quality audit, pending the preparedness of national standards of higher education (the Regulation of Minister of Education No. 49/2014). Accordingly, up to the present time, it still refers to the book of standard: Policy on Quality Assurance (2008), Guidelines on Quality Assurance (2009), and Guidelines on Quality Standards (2010).

The quality assurance process is conducted and improve to enable the quality to come along with the expected and/or desired competence by the business world be maintained and improved from time to time. Monitoring and evaluation on the implementation of the eight quality standards are conducted in the beginning of every semester, whereas the internal quality audit is conducted at the end of every semester by the Quality Assurance Unit of the Trisakti School of Management (STIE). The reports on Monitoring and evaluation and the internal quality audit of AMI are submitted to the Chairman of the Trisakti School of Management (STIE). In addition the implementation of the eight quality standards, the Trisakti School of Management (STIE) has 90 books of quality procedure containing SOP of activities conducted by the entire study programs and existing working units.

Upon issuance of the Regulation of Minister of Education No. 49/2014 concerning National Education Standards, in 2015 the Quality Assurance Unit of the Trisakti School of Management (STIE) revised the previous quality standards (by virtue of Government Regulation Number 19/2005 and Government Regulation Number 32/2013) to become 8 standards of national education, 8 standards of national research and 8 standards of community service.

In the meantime, 8 books of standards of national research and 8 books of standards of community service and additional books of standards regarding cooperation, information system, academic atmosphere, and students affairs are under preparation and are to be published in 2016.
